# Ancient

Welcome to the **Ancient Cheat Setup Guide**. This guide is divided into easy-to-follow sections to ensure a smooth and successful setup.

**Don't be blatant!** Using obvious feature will increase the likelihood of a ban. For the safest experience, stick to ESP only and use more obvious features only on occasion.

### Getting Started

#### Download Microsoft Visual C++

1. Go to [this link](https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/)
2. Download VisualC++ then extract the file *(right click on the file, and press extract)*
3. Run the "Install\_All" file as adminstrator

#### Download DirectX Runtimes

1. Go to [this link](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)
2. Download dxwebsetup then run the file as administrator
3. Make sure to uncheck "Install the Bing Bar" checkbox to ensure no errors occur

#### Disable Windows Defender

<summary>Why do I need to do this?</summary>

You need to disable your antivirus because it can block cheats or loaders from running correctly. Antivirus programs often flag cheat software as malicious because it modifies or injects code into games to enable features like **Aimbot** or **ESP** which appears abnormal for a file to do. This is a common issue for all game cheats, not just Vixen Cheats. Rest Assured, Vixen Cheats is safe to use.

1. Disable **Virus & threat protection settings**

   1. Search "Virus & Threat Protection Setting" in your windows search bar
   2. Click "Manage Settings"
   3. Disable all settings here, including "Real-time protection"

2. Download and Install **DControl.**

   1. Download [7-Zip](https://github.com/ip7z/7zip/releases/download/26.01/7z2601-x64.exe) and install it. *(This is needed to extract certain files)*
   2. Download [DControl](https://drive.usercontent.google.com/download?id=1jxmKjN820qP_cLZLgbeBi-aP5DUbROle\&export=download\&authuser=0)
   3. Open it and select "Disable Windows Defender

<summary>Why do I need to use DControl?</summary>

What DControl does is completely disable windows defender so when you restart your computer, it doesn't automatically turn on again. Without it, everytime you restart, you'll have to repeat the above steps. Overall will just save you time when you want to use the cheat.

#### Remove Other Anti-Cheats

Uninstall the following if installed:

* **FACEIT Anti-Cheat**
* **Vanguard** (Valorant Anti-Cheat)

### BIOS Configuration

<summary>How to enter in your BIOS</summary>

**Method 1:**

* Restart your PC
* Press **DEL**, **F2**, or **F10** repeatedly during boot (Your motherboard manufacturer usually displays the correct key)

**Method 2:**

1. Search **Change Advanced Startup Options**
2. Click **Restart Now**
3. Go to **Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → UEFI Firmware Settings**
4. Click **Restart**

Before launching the cheat, you must adjust several BIOS settings.

**Enable Virtualization**

* Virtualization can sometimes be called **VT-x**, **VT-d**, or **SVM**

**Disable TPM**

* Found under **Advanced**, **Boot** or **Security** tab in your BIOS
* May be listed as **TPM**, **fTPM**, **Trusted Computing**, or **PTT**

**Disable Secure Boot**

* Found under **Security** or **Boot** tab
* Find the **Secure Boot** option, change it to **Disabled**

> ℹ️ **Tip** BIOS layouts vary by motherboard (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.). If you cannot find a setting, search your motherboard model online or contact support.

### Overlay Setup

#### Before launching, you need to enable an overlay.

* If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, ensure NVIDIA overlay is enabled. Nvidia supports both the NVIDIA app and SteelSeries for this software.
* If you have an AMD graphics card, then you must install **SteelSeries.** AMD only supports SteelSeries.

> GeForce Experience does not support full screen in-game. Download: <https://www.nvidia.com/en-eu/software/nvidia-app/> To use NVIDIA app overlay:
>
> 1\. Go to settings, go to general and enable IN-GAME OVERLAY.

> **AMD GPUS:** SteelSeries supports full screen in-game. Download: [https://steelseries.com/gg/download/ ](https://steelseries.com/gg/download/) To use SteelSeries, follow these steps:
>
> 1. Go to settings in the GENERAL -> General section, turn on Sonar
> 2. Go to the SONAR -> Shortcuts tab, put the "F7" key on the Master - Volume Up, you need to press this bind before injection

### Injection Process

#### Step-By-Step Injection

1. Download the **Ancient Cheat Loader** linked above
2. Open the **loader**
3. Paste your **license key** and press **ENTER**

   > If your key does not work, use a VPN such as [**WARP**](https://one.one.one.one/)
4. If everything is done correctly, your loader will close after some seconds without any message.
5. Launch your game
6. Press **INS** in-game to open or close the cheat menu

### Common Errors

> All error codes are linked below. If you're getting a specific error code, please locate the error code below, and follow the respective fix.

You need to press the SONAR's bind before launching so that the overlay works.

<summary>If there is a flicker of menus or black screens in the game.</summary>

Open SteelSeries -> Settings -> MOMENTS -> Capture and sound -> Turn off "ALLOW MOMENTS TO CAPTURE WHILE GAMING".

<details>

<summary>Please disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology.</summary>

<details>

<summary>The bind button does not work.</summary>

Reinject, if it does not help, you need to run the overlay as an administrator.

<summary>If no menu appears in the game or the loader closes immediately after opening.</summary>

Install the library from the link - <https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe>

<details>

<summary>Unsupported Firmware</summary>

You need to convert the disk to GPT and the BIOS to UEFI.

</details>

<details>

<summary>0x296.</summary>

Reinject.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Unknown network error.</summary>

Problem with your internet connection, you need to check your connection and try again, maybe you are using VPN.

<details>

<summary>Failed to allocate memory/to map memory (x) Please reboot pc and try again.</summary>

The driver was installed incorrectly, you need to reboot the pc and try again(If you are in an internet cafe but the error is recurring, you need to try another PC). If it doesn't help, clean the autorun programs. If the error still persists, we recommend downloading Autoruns - <https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns> and disabling all programs that are in the startup list but are not system programs. In some cases, drivers for deleted programs may remain in the system.

<details>

<summary>Failed to load dependencies(x)(-x) Make sure all antiviruses are disabled.</summary>

You need to turn off all protection and remove all anti-readers and antiviruses from your PC. If it doesn't help, clean the autorun programs.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Please uninstall Vanguard/Faceit first.</summary>

Make sure Vanguard/Faceit is fully uninstalled first. If it's still happening, to fix this error, enter the BIOS and search for a feature named either "Intel virtualization technology" or "Intel VT-X"/"AMD-V" or "SVM mode" and enable it.

</details>

<details>

<summary>AES instruction set is not supported.</summary>

Your CPU does not support AES instructions, or AES is disabled in the BIOS. Make sure that AES enabled in BIOS.

</details>

<details>

<summary>VMX/SVM is not supported.</summary>

To fix this error, go to "Control Panel" -> "Programs and Functions" -> "Enable or disable Windows Functions" and make sure that "Virtual Machine Platform" and "Hyper-V" are disabled.

If the error persists, open cmd as an administrator and enter the following command without quotes "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off", then press Enter and restart the computer.

If the Windows 11 user and the previous methods did not help him, then you should run PowerShell as an administrator and paste the following command there (in full):

*takeown /F "C:\Windows\System32\hvix64.exe"* *icacls "C:\Windows\System32\hvix64.exe" /grant \*$((\[System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).User.Value):For* *takeown /F "C:\Windows\System32\hvax64.exe"* *icacls "C:\Windows\System32\hvax64.exe" /grant \*$((\[System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).User.Value):F* *del "C:\Windows\System32\hvix64.exe"* *del "C:\Windows\System32\hvax64.exe"*

<details>

<summary>Either virtual or RAID disk is present. Please revert it back to normal state.</summary>

Turn off the spoofer or turn off the RAID in the BIOS settings with a complete reinstallation of Windows.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Unsupported firmware.</summary>

To fix this error, convert the disk containing the operating system to GPT format using the mbr2gpt tool built into Windows or any other disk management utility of your choice. The BIOS needs to switch from Legacy mode to UEFI mode.

<details>

<summary>CRD failed at XXX with code XXXXXXXX / Failed to init render.</summary>

For PC, the graphics card is old and unsupported. For laptops, you need to disable the built-in graphics card in the BIOS.

<details>

<summary>Incorrect HWID.</summary>

Open cmd as administrator, enter these commands one by one

*wmic diskdrive get Caption, SerialNumber*

*wmic baseboard get SerialNumber*

if any of those commands failed with an error then something is wrong with your pc, try to reinstall Windows and check if the problem is gone.
